The woman who wears Hijab and a woman who does not wears Hijab is like the two sweets one is packed and the other is opened, flies hovers around the sweet that is open rather than the sweet that is packed. The woman who wears Hijab attracts less attention of lustful eyes than the woman walking open.
ANAYAT ALI GAZI
Hijab or Veil, takes the Centre stage whenever there is battle between truth and falsehood. It has always been a sensitive issue, but it recently received a great deal of attention due to legislation and proposed legislation in several European Countries e.g France, Germany, that can it’s use in government institutions as well as educational institutions for who wear -Hijab-out of religious conviction the truth is obvious and indisputable. It is important to understand several points related to Hijab and modesty. The first point is that modesty had been the norm in history, if one were to peruse historical books of various times and ages, one would find modest covering of women in almost every society. The other point is that modesty is a component in several world religions, particularly in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, it may come as surprise to many that it was not Islam that invented modesty or Hijab. This existed in the laws of religions revealed before Islam but with the final message given to Prophet Mohammed ( Peace be upon him) the order for Hijab was confirmed and finalized.
Hijab represents a women’s submission to her creator and her connection with the faith while referring to it, Allah Almighty says: that is more suitable that they will be known….. But, while Hijab is a symbol, in reality it is much more than that. The following purposes and functions of Hijab will clarify this point. Hijab is a test for the Muslim Woman. It is clear from the Holy Quran and the Hadiths that Hijab is a religious obligation, which a woman has to undertake. There is no scholarly difference on this point and the Muslim Ummah has applied it for over 14 centuries. When a Muslim woman wears Hijab she is obeying and submitting to Allah. The following verses of the Holy Qur’an refer to the obligatory nature of Hijab: “And tell the believing women to reduce( some) of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which ( necessarily ( appears therefore and to wrap ( a portion of) their head covers over their chest and not expose their adornment except to their husband, their fathers, their sons, their brothers, their sisters, their women’s, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed ( Quran: 24:31) Also Allah says: ‘O Prophet ‘ tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves( part ) of their other garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah forgiving and merciful ( Quran: 33: 59)
A woman who wears Hijab liberates herself from the vain and selfish desire to show off her beauty and to compete with other women around her. With the Hijab, a woman, doesn’t have to live up to society’s expectations of what is desirable, and she no longer has to use her beauty to obtain recognition or acceptance from those around in the chapter of Al-Ahzaab mentioned above, Allah Almighty says what means ” that is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused” thus, one of the functions of Hijab is to protect women from abuse and harm . This particularly includes various forms of sexual abuse and harassment, which are prevalent in societies in which few women cover. Men often get mixed signals and believe that women want their advances by the way they reveal their bodies the Hijab on the contrary, sends a signal to men that the wearer is a modest and chaste women who should be not annoyed.
The word Hijab is taken from the Arabic word ” Hajaba” which means to hide or to conceal. In the present society, wearing Hijab refers to the covering of Muslim Women or the Muslim Women dress or veil. Today we see many non-Muslim and Muslim Women asking about “why do Muslim Women wear Hijab?” The answer to this is that Muslim Women are ordered by Allah to cover their head and wear Hijab and veils. Covering the beauty for a women is for her honor and protection rather than suppression. Importance of Hijab and virtues of Hijab can be judged by Quranic verses. Hijab or the covering of Muslim Women is mentioned in Quran clearly. In short I mention here again what Allah says in the Quran about Hijab.
1. Hijab is for modest and respectable women.
2.Hijab is purity.
3.Hijab is honorable.
4.Hijab is righteousness.
5.Hijab is for successful women and believing women.
Some women have took it very lightly, as they considered it cultural dress and forget that it belongs to Islam. I suggest, advise them that follow and walk on footsteps of Fatimah Zehra ( s.a), what kind of life she spend. Lady Fatimah Zehra ( s.a ) the daughter of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) , was a beacon of light and a source of guidance for the women of her time . Fatimah Zehra (s.a) gave a good example to Muslim women That the women should be like a sun not just like a moon. And please dear sisters don’t follow or fall prey of western culture. As you know western countries are big enemies of Islam. I write here some words of Alama Iqbal (R.A) when he went to abroad for his studies, what he observed or noticed in Western Countries, when he saw naked women of west without covering their heads or body properly, their hair was perplexed etc. On that occasion he gave message to Muslim Women in his poetic lines. He wrote some poetry lines to sent message to Muslim Women or Ummah, and express his feelings of his heart like this……
OBSERVE.

BENIFITS OF HIJAB
Hijab has social and scientific benefits……..
First of all we will see the social benefits of wearing Hijab.
1.The woman who wears Hijab and a woman who does not wears Hijab is like the two sweets one is packed and the other is opened, flies hovers around the sweet that is open rather than the sweet that is packed. The woman who wears Hijab attracts less attention of lustful eyes than the woman walking open.
2.these women are looked upon with respect in the society. People will not treat her like a product for fulfilling their evil desires. She will be safe and comfortable when she steps out of her house.
3.Hair is the thing that attracts most men, covering your hair means you are losing the chance to attract men, and we all know attraction to physical beauty is not love but attraction to the character is the true love .
Now let’s have a look over the scientific benefits too:
1. Wearing of Hijab protects the heat from the body being lost. Result of medical tests show that 40-60% heat is lost through head so wearing a head coverings in cold months is very important for health perspective.
2. Protecting of head is even more important in warm weather. V.G.Rocine, a prominent brain research specialist, has found that Brain phosphorus melts at 108 degree, a temperature that can be easily reached if one stays under the hot sun for any length of time without a head coverings. When this happens irreversible brain damage, memory loss , and loss of some brain functions can result.
3. A head covering is very important for hygienic purpose too. Even workers in a number of professions wear a head covering -Nurses, fast food workers, factory workers, doctors, health care providers and many more.
4.Hijab protects the hair from dust and direct exposure to sunlight that may damage the hair.
I HOPE I HAVE MADE MANY THINGS CLEAR TO THOSE WHO ALWAYS HAD QUESTIONS IN THEIR MIND REGARDING HIJAB.
