Srinagar:Throwing his weight behind the unified Hurriyat, opposition National Conference (NC) President and former chief minister, Farooq Abdullah Monday offered allegiance to them for ‘Azadi’ saying that in pursuit of the ongoing movement NC was with them not against them.

“We are with you (Hurriyat) not against you and we have given our entire lives for this movement,” he said addressing party workers at the mausoleum of his father and former Prime Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah on his 111st birth anniversary at Naseem Bagh on the outskirts of Srinagar.

“Be united, move ahead and take this movement forward and we are with you,” Farooq said urging the unified Hurriyat leadership to carry on the ongoing movement (for Azadi). “We’ll never be free until we are united and I am telling NC workers not to stay away from this movement.”
