Srinagar: A round table conference under the title of “Bridging the Gap” held to forge Unity and Proximity among different Schools of thoughts in Islam by Ehsas International at Rajbagh Srinagar Kashmir.
As per the reporter of Wilayat Times, The conference was organized by Kashmir based Ngo Ehsas International, attended by scores of Islamic scholars, intellectuals, students of valley meanwhile a prominent Sunni Scholar of I.R. Iran Moulana Ramin Chouchaei was the guest of Honour of conference.
While delivering his speech Moulana Ramin chouchaei, who is also the head of Hanafi School of thought from Gulistan province of Islamic Republic of Iran said that we have more than 700 mosques across Iran ,we do have Friday congregational prayers in all villages and cities, it is all because of Iranian system of Government and the charismatic leader Ayatollah Imam Khamenei. He urged for harmony and tolerance among different schools of thoughts in Islam.
“Muslims are being divided into sects, casts and others issues but they should again unite on the basis of Kalima,” he said adding that to end confusions both sects should come forward and discuss both similarities and differences, “he added
He said only dialogue is an option to end confusions between the two communities. “Although there can be ideological differences but there are similarities as well which are yet to be explored,” he said.

While speaking over conference Mehdi Musaeli said “Many satanic and notorious forces are bent upon trying to create sectarian division on name of Shia-Sunni. They have takferi kind of ideology, so its high time to defeat their designs.”
Kashmir’s young Islamic Scholar and Chairman Karwan-e-Shahi Hamdan Moulana Syed Ishfaq Bukhari said that there is no any kind of conflict between Shias and Sunnis. However, some anti Islamic forces are hell bent trying to break the bond of this brotherhood. So we will fight with tooth and nail to protect it at all levels.
In his Concluding remark Former Judge High Court Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar said “On the day of judgement, Allah wont us ask us, are you Shia or Sunni? Why do we involve ourselves in Shias, Sunni, Hanfi, Shafi? Every Muslim has been taught to spread love and peace. We must follow the teachings of Prophet to maintain brotherhood in all sections of society.”
Meanwhile G.R Sofi (IRS) Ex Chief Information Commissioner and currently Vice Chairman Waqf Board was the guest of honor and called from the promotion of commonalties among Muslim sects.
At end the conference was thrown open for interactive session in which all the members jointly stressed to forge unity between different schools for thoughts in Islam.
