Islamabad:Day long Seminar was held in the Capital Islamabad of Pakistan in solidarity with the Kashmir and against the continue curfew and curbs over the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per media reports, One day seminar was organized under the title ” Support for oppressed Kashmir” and under the auspices of prominent religious-political organizations of Shia community of Pakistan.
The speakers at the seminar expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir and reiterated that It is national and religious obligation of every citizen of Pakistan and Muslims to raise voice and support the indigenous struggle of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Speakers urged upon Pakistan nation and national institution especially the armed forces to play their role for the freedom of J&K.
Speakers expressed complete solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are suffering immensely due to continued curfew and other restrictions imposed by the Indian authorities.
The speakers said that unity among the Muslim Ummah is an essential for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan had a vital role to play in this regard.
The speakers included Chairman of Kashmir Committee, Sayed Fakhar Imam, Alama Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi, Sayed Nasir Shirazi and Alama Amin Shaheedi. It was attended by a large number of scholars, Ulemas, National and Regional organizations and personalities and civil society members who represent the Shia community of Pakistan.
A declaration unanimously adopted at the end of the seminar pledge to lend every support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their ongoing freedom struggle. Termed Kashmir; a jugular vein and appealed to all Muslims, particularly the Government of Pakistan, to be more active at the diplomatic level and persuade brotherly Islamic and other friendly countries to support Kashmir.
The declaration expressed concern over the silence of the international institutions and countries on the grim situation of Kashmir and urged them to raise voice in support of the Kashmiri people and fulfill their moral obligation in redeeming their right to self-determination. It thanked to the global institutions, countries and individuals who raised their voice for the Kashmiri people.
The declaration also expressed solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian Muslims and condemned in strong terms the atrocities being committed on them by the illegal Zionist regime. It also strongly denounced the India-Israel nexus against the Muslims.
The Seminar was supported and attended by the leaders and representatives of Shia Ulemas Council Pakistan, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen, Tehreek Bedari-e-Ummat-e-Mustafa(S), Tehreek-e-Nifaz Jafaria Pakistan, Imamia Organization Pakistan, Imamia Students Organization Pakistan and many socio-political and religious as well as student wing organizations of Pakistan.
