Srinagar:Expressing serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails, Senior Hurriyat leader and President Anjuman-e-Shari Shian Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi has said that even family members are denied a meeting with the caging separatist leaders.
According to a statement issued here,addressing people at Friday congregational prayers in Imam Bara Budgam, Aga Syed Hasan said that scores of Kashmiri youth have been implicated in false cases and booked under draconian Public Safety Act. He said that oppressive and suppressive rule of India in Kashmir have touched new heights. “Even people are stopped from offering prayers in mosques,” he said.
While hailing the resilience of people of Kashmir,Senior Hurriyat Leader said that nation is passing through a difficult phase. He appealed people to stay away from election process. “Elections are nothing but a forces drill and drama to defame the ongoing freedom struggle across world,” he said and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and properties due to incessant rains.
