Srinagar, Oct 12:Senior leader and president of Democratic Party Nationalist Ghulam Hassan Mir has asked the government to remove proposed curbs on Muharam procession.

“All the traditional routes on which our Shia brothers took their Muharram processions should be thrown open and no restriction should be imposed on their movement,” Mir told KNS.

He said that the government must provide all the necessary requirements to the Shia community on the coming Ashura days.

The government should keep available ration, electricity, water and fire wood at all the places which are populated by the Shia community.
