Baku | WTNS | June 28:Twelve years ago, the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan tried to destroy the mosque, but with the formation of a human circle by religious people around the mosque, the government withdrew, and the mosque symbolizes the resistance and victory of the Islamists against the anti-Islamic policies and destruction of the country’s mosques.

Senior Islamic figures likely Haj Abdul Suleimanov and some other prominent clerics of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have been active in forming the human circle around the mosque have been imprisoned in Azerbaijan for more than 10 years.
