Srinagar | WTNS | Dec 09:Former JK Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday again barred at her Fairview Gupkar residence by authorities amid ongoing DDC polls.

According to Wilayat Times Mehbooba tweeted, “Illegally detained today for the third time in less than a fortnight. Too much democracy indeed”.

Criticiting the move, Mehbooba Mufti said “If my movements are curbed due to ‘security concerns’ then why are BJP ministers allowed to campaign freely in Kashmir while I’ve been asked to wait until culmination of DDC elections?”.

Notably the former chief minister was also barred on Tuesday ahead of her visit to central Kashmir’s Budgam areas where she was intending to meet those families who had been evicted by J&K Government from their land.
