Srinagar | WTNS | Oct 15:Inhabitants of Satni-Nallah Tulail tehsil in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district Saturday decried the lack of development in their village, saying they are facing multiple problems.
Residents of the village alleged that they had been neglected by the successive government and the remote area had lagged much behind in development. According to locals the village lacks basic facilities such as road connectivity, electricity, mobile connectivity, and potable water supply.
The villagers told that they are longing for the basic facilities. “Potable water, good roads, a hospital, transportation, electricity and mobile network connectivity are a distant dream for us,” Abdullah, an elderly local said.
Similarly Javid Ahmad, another local said that they had brought this issue to the notice of the concerned higher ups but no attention was paid in this regard.
The locals requested Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and other concerned authorities to look into the matter at the earliest and provide basic facilities to the area so that they too could avail benefits of development.
Meanwhile, DDC Tulail Raja Aijaz also admitted the village is without some basic facilities and said that issues were flagged by him recently during the visit of top government officials there. “I hope that the problems of the village will be solved very soon,” he said.
