Kashmiri Activist seeks immediate release of Khurram Parvez

Srinagar:Kashmiri social activist Syed Karar Hashmi 
strongly condemned the detention  of Kashmiri well known Human Rights Activist Mr Khurram Parvaiz and termed the action as a matter of great concern and said that this depicts the ugly face of Indian democracy.

In a statement to Wilayat Times,He said that all these barbaric tactics  are executed in Kashmir from long past to suppress the true voice of Kashmiri’s for there right of self determination. He demanded the immediate release of Human Rights Activist
Syed Hashmi further said that the suppression of truth with the barrel of gun point handed over to 7 lakh soldiers stationed in a valley of Jammu and Kashmir , can never achieve its hindutva objectives.

Khurram Parvez is the Programmes Coordinator of JKCCS (Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society), as well as the Chairperson for theAsian Federation against Involuntary Disappearances (AFAD), a collective of 13 non-governmental organizations from ten Asian countries.

JKCCS has extensively documented and litigated on human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
