Libyan Grand Mufti Urges Muslims To Boycott Hajj Over AlSaud Crimes

Tripoli: The Tripoli-based Grand Mufti has urged Muslims to abstain from making the pilgramage (Hajj) to Mecca because of the crimes committed by the Saudi state.

Libya’s Grand Mufti Sadiq al-Ghariani called on Muslims around the world to boycott Hajj because the Saudi government is allegedly using the pilgramage revenues to commit crimes against “fellow Muslims”.

In Ghariani’s opinion, making the pilgramage to Mecca is important for all Muslims, but going a second time would be committing “an act of sin rather than a good deed” because of the money that goes to the Saudi government.
Ghariani said in a televised interview on Ean Libya that this money will “help Saudi Arabian rulers to carry out crimes against our fellow Muslims.” “No part of the world hasn’t been tainted by Saudi Arabia,” Ghariani said, adding the money paid to the monarchy would contribute to the ‘massacre’ of Muslims in Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia, and Algeria.

The Libyan Mufti’s recent tiff with Saudi Arabia has to do with the kingdom’s ongoing support for Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and his Libyan National Army.

“No part of the world hasn’t been tainted by Saudi Arabia,” Ghariani said, adding the money paid to the monarchy would contribute to the ‘massacre’ of Muslims in Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia, and Algeria.

Haftar and his forces are currently attacking the Libyan capital in a bid to consolidate their authority over the entire country.

The LNA commander has support from several Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. He also enjoys support from world powers like Russia, the United States, and France.
