New Delhi | WTNS | Dec 9:An International Conference on the personality and scholarly works of Syed Muhammad Hussain Tabatabai, a well-known commentator, theologian, philosopher, and jurist of the Islamic world was organised at Jamia Millia Islamia’s Center for Information Technology Auditorium (CIT) on December,5 by the Department of Islamic studies Jamia Mili Islamia and Humanities Advanced Studies Institute (HASI) in which intellectual and literary personalities of India and Iran along with scholars, teachers and students of various universities, religious Cultural intellectuals and social officials also participated.

Addressing the conference, the speakers described the familiarity with the personality of Allama Tabatabai as an important need of the time and said that Allama’s teachings include Quranic, philosophical and moral issues, which are the source of meaning. with the help of which a person can walk on the path of happiness and success.

The conference started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Muhammad Atiq a student of the Department of Islamic Studies.

Professor itqra Muhammad Khan, while presenting his resignation speech, said that Allama Tabatabai’s personality is unique and different in that he was simultaneously a commentator, a philosopher, and a representative of the mystical way of life. It is necessary that his scholarly writings And the spiritual and moral heritage should be made public.

“I hope that researchers and students will not only get to know Allama Tabatabai, but also benefit from his academic services and achievements.” He said .

On this occasion, a complete documentary on Allama Tabatabai prepared by Wilayat TV was also telecasted in the conference, which included his biography as well as his academic, religious and cultural services.

In the conference, Humanities Advanced Studies Institute (HASI) released several publications containing the life and academic achievements of Allama Tabatabai in Urdu and English, and the English book written on the biography of Allama Tabatabai was presented to the participants.

On this occasion, Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, General Secretary of the World Ahlul Bayt Assembly of Iran, while addressing the conference, said that Allama Tabatabai was a great scholar of Islamic philosophy and wisdom.

He described the achievements of Allama Tabatabai in his keynote speech and said that Allama has actually gathered Shariat, reality and Tariqat in one place, which is his great achievement. He also presented a detailed review of his thoughts and ideas regarding monotheism.

On the other hand, the former president of the Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University, Professor Latif Kazmi, while addressing the conference, said that Allama Tabatabai was a man of truth and knowledge. He taught us moral and spiritual values and spent all his energy in protecting human values.

The guest of honour present at the event, former president of the Islamic Studies Department, Jamia Millia Islamia, Professor Muhammad Ishaq, said that Allama Tabatabai’s Tafsir called Tafsir al-Mizan is of fundamental importance because in it Allama tried to give satisfactory answers to modern questions and challenges. And I think researchers and the younger generation can get a lot of benefit out of it.

Padma Shri Professor Emeritus and former president of Jamia Millia Islamia Department of Islam Akhtar Al Wasi said that Allama Syed Muhammad Hussain Tabatabai was a combination of knowledge, mysticism and wisdom and he was not only a commentator of the Holy Quran but also a famous and well-known philosopher of the Islamic world. There were also Sufis. He further said that Allama Tabatabai’s Tafsir al-Mizan is equally popular in both Shia and Sunni circles and Tafsir al-Qur’an is a scholarly model of the Qur’an.

Ayatollah Mehdi Mehdavipour, the representative of India for Iranian spiritual leader imam Khamenei , while addressing the conference, said that in the eyes of Allama Tabatabai, character building, civilizing the soul, spiritual and spiritual places for every human being is better and more important than anything else in the world. Allama Tabatabai is great.

Ayatollah Mehdi Mehdavipour, the representative of India for Iranian spiritual leader imam Khamenei , while addressing the conference, said that in the eyes of Allama Tabatabai, character building, civilizing the soul, spiritual and spiritual places for every human being is better and more important than anything else in the world. Allama Tabatabai is great. He had the status of a personality who trained a large number of disciples, each of whom is considered one of the philosophers and mystics of our time. He said in his presidential address that Allama Tabatabai does not belong to any particular region but to the entire world of Islam and the world of humanity. They are doing prominent services in jurisprudence and principles etc.

As per reports of Wilayat Times, many Urdu, English and Hindi books written about Allama Tabatabai were also formally released in the international conference and an Urdu-English collection of articles related to the subject was also published during the conference.

A large number of university scholars, teachers as well as students of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi University and Jamia Hamdard University participated in the conference.

In addition to all the teachers of the Islamic Studies Department, Syed Jawad Hussaini Maulana Syed Taqi Haider, Maulana Syed Abid Abbas Zaidi, Maulana Syed Saqlain, Maulana Ashraf Zaidi, Maulana Azhar, Maulana Syed Jalal Haider Naqvi, Maulana Manzoor Adil, Maulana Jawad Habib, Maulana Rizwan Haider, Maulana Shabib. Haider, Maulana Syed Qamar Hasnain Rizvi, Sheikh Mustafa Ghulam Kuwait and other important people were also present.
