Srinagar:Prominent Women Politician and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State president for women’s wing, Safina Baigh on said that the file regarding reservation benefits to the Pahari speaking people in Jammu and Kashmir is gathering dust at Governor’s office, saying that community is being ignored.
Wilayat Times reports that While Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Safina Baigh said that the inspite of fulfilling the genuine demands of community, delaying tactics are being played to ensure the demands are fulfilled.
Baigh added that PDP patron and Pahari forum patron, Muzaffar Hussain has met the Home Minister Rajnath Singh in this regard who has assured him that the demands will be fulfilled. Besides, she said that he will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Governor Satya Pal Malik in this regard soon.
PDP Women’s wing President added that in case the demands of particular community are not fulfilled then they will be compelled to hit the streets to press for their demands.
Safina Baigh added that discrimination is being done with the community, which must end so that the community could heave a sigh of relief.
