Srinagar | WTNS | October 12:Led by newly appointed AICC Incharge J&K affairs Smt. Rajni Patil, Ex-MP and Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee(JKPCC) President G.A. Mir, Congress today held an impressive meeting of Senior party functionaries here today at Srinagar Party Office and launched a scathing attack on the Modi Govt criticizing it for its failure to address the concerns of the people.
The Party also blamed the Centre for economic crisis, rising unemployment and many other issues concerning people, besides deteriorating situation in the country and in J&K.
Smt. Rajni Patil, who arrived here today after having been assigned the important charge of the Party in Jammu and Kashmir, reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in a meeting of Senior Party functionaries and urged them to gear up political activities to expose the Centre’s anti-people policies and programmes.
Addressing the Party functionaries, Smt. Rajni Patil expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh due to the wrong approach adopted by the Centre and said Congress party will fight against the discrimination and injustice in order to get the people’s issues resolved. She said Congress has the legacy of serving people and it will continue to serve the people to the best of its ability.
She also slammed the BJP for its utter failure to stop atrocities and incidents of rapes against women, citing the recent example of Hathras and other incidents and said such type of incident have brought bad name to the country. The continuous denial by the BJP Leaders after committing heinous crimes have disappointed people across the country, resulting in people have realized that they were being punished on one pretext or the other by the present dispensation
She also strongly condemned the way the top leadership of the Congress (Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi) were stopped and manhandled by the police, while proceeding to meet victim’s family which is indicative of BJP’s highhandedness and policy of deceit, aiming to hide its designs and failures on all fronts.
She said people were being punished for no fault of their, youth are deprived of 4G inter service, employment avenue and other basic facilities in J&K.
Rajni Patil said Congress Party would strive to work for the people inorder to resolve people’s their hardships, who have undergone numerous sufferings, while expressing serious concern over the recent killings of Panchayat representative and urged the Govt to ensure adequate security to Political Leaders in J&K, enabling them to perform their duties for which they have been chosen.
Party is supreme and all have to work unitedly to defeat the challenges of the time, Patil told the Congress Cadres.
Patil said that Gandhi family has a special bond with the people of Kashmir and they feel highly concerned about your wellbeing. I am here to convey message from Sonia Ji, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi that they will continue to support and fight for your rights, she elaborated.

Congress workers stood like a rock against the malicious propaganda and divisive policies of the BJP and remained loyal to the party and its policies under the dynamic leadership of Smt. Sonia Gandhi & Shri Rahul Gandhi as the people have full faith in their leadership.
Mir said time is ripe for the party to emerge more stronger and we need to concerned on strengthening the Party further, for the fact, people want Congress Party to lead for the fact they have experienced worst under Modi Govt.

Meanwhile, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed deep shock and grief over the passing away of Senior Party Leader and Former Minister Mohd Sharief Niaz and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.
