Srinagar:The Chairman Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir monday condemned the in humanitarian execution of Shia Cleric, Sheikh Al Nimr by Saudi authorities in the name of Law and Order and Islam calling it a murder of human rights.
Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said Islam is a religion of tolerance and death sentence to a vocal critic of Saudi regime is a shame upon the word “tolerance”.
He said Islam always welcomes and accepts critic and does not muzzle the opponent voices, perhaps it provides space for the expressions and the views of people.“Sheikh Al nimr’s execution is a murder of the right to expression and speech” he said.
In a Statement to Wilayat Times,The chairman of Ummat e Islami said that in an already escalating tension between the Muslims throughout the globe, the execution comes as a drastic setback to the muslim Ummah and the enemies of Islam will take advantages from it. “The Muslim world which is already in chaos by the human created disasters can be vandalised further by these irresponsible, uncivilised and inhumane decisions” He said.
Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir said Hanging a man, who had no means other than speech to pursue his political and religious objectives, only shows the depth of imprudence and irresponsibility.
Mirwaiz Yasir said that the Muslim nations must seek to build strong and mature relationships so thatwe can be candid with each other about those areas on which we do not agree, including on human rights. The Muslims throughput the globe are suffering and the crisis rather than being diffused arejust escelated. “How shameful is it that a Muslim nation refuses to return the corpse of the executed leader for proper burial at his home” He said. He added that Muslims of the world should not be selective in their outrage. “If we love justice, we should love it, not seeing who seeks or kills justice”
