Tehran:Sunni clerics in the Iranian Province of Western Azerbaijan denounced the recent execution of Shia cleric in Saudi Arabia saying that the move has revealed the heinous nature of Al Saud.

Mamusta Mostafa Mahmoudi, Friday prayer leader of Piranshahr, in an interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) called Saudi Arabia as the hub of oppression and that was the reason for uprising of Sheikh Nimr, reported Wilayat Times

He added,” Saudi Arabia found the Shia cleric as a great threat and executed the scholar supposing that it will be a relief but in fact it has added to the burden of its crimes.”

Mamusta Mahmoudi, said Saudi Arabia is only carrying the title of Islam while in fact it is a supporter of Wahabi Daesh.

He added,” Al Saud has committed terror attacks and several forms of crimes and then it calls itself as Sunni Muslim while Sunni community has never supported such measures.”

Friday prayer leader of Piranshahr counted Mina stamprede, supporting Takfiri (excommunication) groups and execution of the Shia cleric, Sheikh Nimr, as measures which have added to the burden of Al Saud crimes.

Mola Qadir Biyzavi, prayer leader of Urumiyeh, condemned Al Saud crimes and quoted the holy book of Islam saying murdering an innocent man means killing of the whole humanity; hence, heinous measure by Saudi government is a violation of Islamic and international laws.

“The measure by Saudi government proves the concerns of Al Saud from spread of Shia cleric thoughts across the Muslim world.” Said the scholar and demanded international bodies to react against Saudi government.

Mamusta Ibrahim Sorkhabi, Friday prayer leader of Naghadeh, said Sunni clerics denounce the flagrant move by Al Saud and said,” Saudi government is trying to rise Shia and Sunni communities against each other and makes it’s best for the objective through supporting Takfiri groups or execution of Shia and Sunni figures.”

He noted that breakout of chaos in the region is the end sought by Saudi government and said the crimes committed by Al Saud are under the name of Islam though in fact they are all in line with objectives of the world arrogant powers.

According to the cleric Sheikh Nimr’s pursuit of justice and freedom led Al Saud to a quagmire which has led to his execution.

Mamusta Abdul Rahman Khalifeh zadeh, Friday prayer leader of Boukan, called execution of a prominent cleric like Sheikh Nimr as the utmost incapability and maliciousness of Al Saud and said the move by Saudi government proves the intolerance of the Arab kingdom in regards to criticisms or opposition.

He warned that the execution of Sheikh Nimr will be followed by a wave of international protests and said Saudi government is scrambling to find a solution out of the present crisis.

He said world has to see the approaching collapse of corrupted Saudi government and that Al Saud will soon pay for its crimes.

Saudi Arabia has executed Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr along 46 other people in defiance of international calls for the release of the prominent Shia cleric and other jailed political dissidents in the kingdom.

Sheikh Nimr, a critic of the Riyadh regime, was shot by Saudi police and arrested in 2012 in the Qatif region of Shia-dominated Eastern Province, which was the scene of peaceful anti-regime demonstrations at the time.

He was charged with instigating unrest and undermining the kingdom’s security, making anti-government speeches and defending political prisoners. He had rejected all the charges as baseless

In 2014, a Saudi court sentenced Sheikh Nimr to death, provoking widespread global condemnations. The sentence was upheld last March by the appeal court of Saudi Arabia.
