Minority Killings in Kashmir `a catastrophe in the Resurrection of Kashmiriyat`: Maulana Waseem Raza Kashmiri

Srinagar | WTNS | March 01: Expressing his anger and sorrow over the killing of Sanjay Sharma from Kashmiri Pandit community who was working as a bank security guard at Achan Pulwama , J&K based Islamic scholar Moulana Waseem Reza Qomi Al-Kashmiri termed the act as inhuman and most heinous.

In a statement reaching here, Kashmiri dwelled Islamic Scholar studying in Jamia Al-Mustafa (S) Al-Alamiya of Howza Elmia Qom Iran, Waseem Reza condemned the Pulwama incident in strong terms and expressed his condolences and solidarity with the affected family and said that the whole nation is saddened by this incident. He said “there is an urgent need to understand the sensitivity, geographical position as well as the ground situation of Jammu and Kashmir”.

Cleric stressed upon the need of political framework and a fruitful dialogue between all stakeholders

The young Cleric added that there is no doubt that after 2019 the hartal politics and stone pelting ended, but it is clear that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been living in an atmosphere of anxiety for a long time and building a prosperous Kashmir and establishing peace, it is very important to take people into confidence.

“In order to ensure the protection of the human and civil rights of the minority and the majority, a political process and dialogue involving representatives of socio-political and religious sections of society and the youth should be initiated to bridge the gap between Delhi and Srinagar”.
