Qom:Kashmir based Socio-Political Activist and Seminarian Syed Karar Hashmi has demanded immediate restoration of Official page of Kashmir Based Weekly News paper Wilayat Times having more than 11K followers across the world following due to raising of real issues pertaining to contemporary scenario as a unique feature of Wilayat times to attract people.

Hashmi Loudly Criticised illegitimate action initiated against Facebook and Instagram accounts belonging to Waseem Reza, a Kashmiri Seminary Scholar and JK based Political Activisit as well as the Official Page of one of its first kind of Kashmir based weekly newspaper and online news agency Wilayat Times has been permanently disabled for being the voice in support of oppressed nations and promotion of unity and tolerance within Muslims and others to serve Humanity. Everyone has the right of freedom of expression to have their say as this an important issue for flourish of democracy and the freedom of the press and such pressure tactics will not be acceptable at any cost.

Karar Hashmi Said in a Press Statement that Society is directly influenced by media in different ways. It is the media for the masses that helps them to get information about a lot of things and also to form opinions and make judgments regarding various issues. It shapes the society in a desired way and always raise moral standards high. Disabled of Wilayat Time’s official page is a direct war against Unity, peace and against fundamental principles of freedom of expression enshrined in the Constitution of the country.

Media becomes a connector between the rulers and the ruled, the haves and the have-nots, by speaking truth to power and by giving voice to the marginalised and suppressed. In 2019 the website of Wilayat Times was hacked due to unknown reasons yet but after hard labour spent by its IT team restored it within 24 hours back.

Wilayat times has a courage to swim against the tide and will more potentially highlight the real picture of oppressed Nations of the world and will bring true picture of different Socio-Political Issues confrontation world in front of public & always awakened people globally about takfirism and rise of extremists forces in many places of world; Hashmi added
