Srinagar | WTNS | Nov 25:The wife of the former chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and patron of Jammu and Kashmir Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen, Moulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari passed away on Tuesday after brief illness at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura (SKIMS) Srinagar.
The deceased woman was also the mother of Senior Hurriyat Leader and Islamic Cleric Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari and mother-in-law of Editor Kashmir Observer newspaper Sajjad Haider.
A large number of people joined the funeral prayer of the wife of veteran Hurriyat leader.
According to family sources, the funeral prayer of the deceased was led by Hojatul Islam Wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Abdul Baqi at around 12 pm and laid to rest at their ancestral graveyard Gulistan -e-Baba Mazar in Alamgari Bazar Srinagar.
Demise Widely Condoled
All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the wife of its former Chairman and patron of Ittihadul Muslimeen Moulana Abbas Ansari.
In a statement to Wilayat Times, APHC expressed condolence and solidarity with the octogenarian leader and his sons Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari, Nasir Abbas Ansari and the entire family.
The conglomerate paid tributes to the deceased and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and for forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
APHC termed it unfortunate that its Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq could not participate in the Namaaz-e-Janaazah of the deceased as he continues to be under house arrest since August 5, 2019. However, a delegation of Hurriyat Conference participated in the last rites of the deceased and expressed condolence to Moulana Abbas Ansari on behalf of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassann Mir also expressed shock and grief over the demise of the spouse of renowned political-religious leader and scholar Moulana Abbas Ansari.
President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Agha Syed Hassan Al-Mosawi Al-Safvi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic demise of the wife of Maulana Muhammad Abbas Ansari.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, Agha said that she was a religious and pious woman who spent her entire life in godliness and always faced difficult situations regarding her husband`s religious and political aspirations with smiling face and patience, women with this courage and character are a source of pride for the nation.
President of All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association and Senior Peoples Conference Leader Moulana Imran Reza Ansari also attended the funeral prayer of deceased woman.
In a Condolence statement, Moulana Imran Reza Ansari said “On behalf of my family and my organization, I would like to extend my deep sympathies and condolences to Hujjat-ul-Islam Wal Muslimeen Moulana Abbas Ansari on the demise of his wife and mother of Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari.
The departed soul was a pious and righteous lady with highest of morals and virtues as her assets.

In a Condolence message from Qom, Jammu and Kashmir based noted Kashmiri Islamic Seminary Scholar of Al-Mustafa(Pbuh) International University of Howza Elmia Qom Iran and socio-political activist Waseem Reza expressed condolences with the Ansari family and prayed to the Almighty Allah for giving strength to the family so that they are able to bear the loss.
