Top Shia leader quits NC and joined PDP in Kashmir

Srinagar:Prominent Shia leader Aga Syed Mohsin today switched allegiance from opposition National Conference (NC) and joined the ruling Peoples Democratic party (PDP) here.

According to the report of Wilayat Times,Hailing from a prominent religious family of Budgam,Aga Syed Mohsin Mustafa Almosavi was welcomed into the party fold by Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, Senior leaders & cabinet minsters Molvi Imran Reza Ansari and Basharat Bukhari at Budgam Kashmir.Aga Syed Mohsin is a sincere and active political leader and his entry will strengthen the PDP and also will build communication with people;leaders said

Speaking on the occasion, Aga Syed Mohsin said he will leave no stone unturned to contribute with utmost sincerity and dedication to strengthen the party.

“My first priority is to serve people and work for the betterment of society”.

Many senior leaders and various office bearers and workers were present on the occasion.

He had joined the NC in 2014.Aga also stood against NC and PDP in the 2014 parliament elections and bagged good votes from Srinagar seat. During last assembly elections Aga Mohsin played an important and significant role in fetching three seats Budgam, Beerwah and Sonawari to NC.
