Tehran:On the occasion of the anniversary of the Ordainment of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), senior Iranian officials, ambassadors of Muslim states in Tehran as well as a group of families of martyrs met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei Thursday.  

In the meeting, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution highlighted the survival of the two currents of “ordainment” and “paganism” since Islam’s heyday to date, noting that the main specification of the ordainment current was “wisdom guided by messengers of God” and the outstanding feature of the paganism current was “lust and wrath”. Ayatollah Khamenei added: “Today, the most important task assigned to the Muslim community is to counter the current of paganism led by the United States. And the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the harbinger of the current of ordainment, will push ahead with its movement without being intimidated by powers on the path initiated by the great Imam [Khomeini].”   
Ayatollah Khamenei offered congratulations on the Ordainment of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to the Islamic Ummah and the great Iranian nation, and citing verses from the holy Quran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution elucidated the substantive concept of ordainment, saying: “Mabath (ordainment) is the feast of resuscitation and the day of returning to the divine nature and life endowed with ‘wisdom, freedom of spirit, justice and serving God’ and messengers of God are tasked with guiding humans towards this pure nature and thinking within the framework of Almighty God’s instructions and monotheism.”   
Highlighting mankind’s persistent need for the Ordainment’s instructions, Ayatollah Khamenei said the current of paganism is the opposite front of ordainment, adding: “The paganism current does not belong to the period of the Prophet (PBUH), but is a continuing front against thinking guided by the prophets. Today, it has emerged in a new form thanks to science and technology.”
Stressing that lust, wrath and carnal desires are the outstanding features of paganism, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “The result of performance of the Front of Paganism has always been suffering, hardship and humiliation for mankind and carnage of millions of human beings and pillage of resources of nations and corruption, manifested clearly in the two international (world) wars.”
Referring to the emergence of the two currents of paganism and ordainment at individual, social and international levels, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “If, at the international level, powerful [governments] behave within the framework of wisdom guided by messengers, the world will have one form and if they behave within the framework of carnal desires, power thirst and seditionism, the world will be a different one.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said the nations being trampled upon under the boots of colonialist powers was another clear example of the performance of the current of paganism and referring to the pillage of resources of India and its misery after decades of British colony, Ayatollah Khamenei noted: “The wars and seditions underway today in West Asia region are also the result of the performance of the Front of Paganism and Evil.”
Stressing that the Zionist current dominating the world is a clear example of system development by Evil powers, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “The status quo in the world is the result of the domination by a vast network of Zionist capitalists who control and influence even a government like the US, and these currents and parties will come to power [only] if they follow this Zionist current.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said the main root of massive movements by the Islamic Ummah and Iran as well as Islamic Awakening was to counter the rule of the corrupt Zionist current, adding: “On this basis, ‘fighting Islam, Iran and Shia’ have become the definite policies of the US and its affiliated governments.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said the vigilance and awakening of the Iranian nation and Muslim nations against corrupt moves by powers was the main cause of their anger, adding: “That is why Iran is threatened with sanctions due to its opposition to the US policies in the region because they consider the Islamic Republic as an obstacle to their ambitious, excessive policies in the region.”
Emphasizing that the result of domination of the front of paganism and devilish powers will be “rebellion and diabolism”, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “The current of paganism and diabolism killed hundreds of thousands of humans in Hiroshima by [dropping] A-bomb, but after so many years it is still refusing to apologize and is destroying the infrastructure in Iraq and Afghanistan and other countries without showing any sign of remorse.”  
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has never initiated any war and military action against any country, but it has declared its stances manifestly and it will continue to do so,” the Leader of the Islamic Revolution noted.
Citing Imam Khomeini about drawing a parallel between “dogmatic Islam” and “American Islam” against “pure Islam”, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “Corrupt and corrupting groups who are carrying out the worst and the most tragic crimes in the name of Islam are supported by Western powers.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added: “The Western governments have apparently set up an anti-Daesh coalition, but in practice they are supporting this current and within the framework of fighting Islam they refer to them (Daesh) as ‘Islamic State’ in their propaganda in a bid to sully the image of Islam.”
Referring to the expansion of Islamic movement despite the existence of the paganism current’s fight on Islam, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “The Islamic movement, which has become stronger and deeper rooted after the establishment of Islamic Republic in Iran, will continue its path and it will definitely emerge triumphant.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution underscored the necessity of trusting in God and not fearing conspiracies and threats by powers, saying: “Today, the entire Islamic Ummah, including people, elites and officials, shoulder responsibilities vis-à-vis the Islamic movement and in countering the current of paganism. If they carry out these tasks, they will benefit from divine rewards. And the Islamic movement will not stop and will continue its path [even if] some refuse to fulfill their tasks, because the victory of Islam and Muslims is a foregone conclusion.”
Prior to Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks, President Hassan Rouhani described Ordainment as the day of blessing for everyone in the world, saying: “The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was a source of benediction not only for Muslims, but for all humanity, because he guided people to the right track.”
Pointing to allegations attributed to Islam in the world in the name of terrorism and violence, President Rouhani said: “Those who have embarked on fighting Islam and [spreading] Islamophobia in the world today have to take a fair look at the Islamic Utopia and learn a lesson from the justice rendered by the Prophet (PBUH) in dealing with polytheists and apostates.”
“On one hand are anti-Islam westerners who have been engaged in propaganda against Islam for centuries and on the other hand are ignorant friends and their mercenaries who pose a threat to the prestige of Islam like a double whammy,” said the president.
Mr. Rouhani then raised the question on who are behind terror and insecurity in the region after creating the usurper regime of Israel 70 years ago, noting: “The root of most instances of insecurity, assassinations and wars in our region is the regime occupying al-Quds (Jerusalem).”  
The president highlighted the occupation of Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq and insecurity in the region, saying: “Zionists and Americans are responsible for all these crimes.”
Rouhani said the ultimate goal of the Islamic Republic was to establish peace and security across the globe, adding: “How can we remain silent while Yemeni people are under savage bombing by those who claim to be custodians of the Grand Mosque [of Mecca]?”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has the honor to have defended and will defend the oppressed under the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and will extend hand of assistance to any oppressed, if necessary, at the order of the commander-in-chief of armed forces [Ayatollah Khamenei],” said the president.
